Tata IPL 2023 Auction was held in Kochi on 23rd December 2022. And in this Auction total of 405 players are listed, most of which are uncapped and the rest are big players. In this auction, Sunrisers Hyderabad has the highest purse of Rs. 42.25 crores. Big players like Dawid Malan, Joe Root, and Rossouw get unsold instead of good performing in Internationals.

1. Sam Curran Sold to PBKS

England All-rounder Sam Curran is the most expensive player in IPL 2023 Auction. His base price was Rs. 2 Cr which comes to Rs. Rs. 18.5 Crores. 24 yrs old Sam Curran was the man of the tournament of the T20 World Cup 2022 which was the main reason for his big price. He not only becomes the expensive player in the IPL 2023 auction. He is the most expensive player in IPL history.

Sam Curran was born on 3rd June 1998 and he is currently 24 years old. Sam was born in Northampton, Northamptonshire, England. He is known as Sam Curran and his full name is Samuel Matthew Curran. He has a height of 5 feet and 11 inches. He was born into a family of cricketers. His father Kevin Curran has played professional cricket. He has two brothers named Ben Curran and Tom Curran who also play cricket.

2. Cameron Green Sold to Mumbai Indians

Australian All-rounder Cameron Green Sold to Mumbai Indians for Rs.17.5 Crores. Mumbai Indians bought him for the replacement of Kieron Pollard. Green is a very powerful all-rounder who is good at both batting and bowling. Because of his all round performance for Australia he sold for 17.5 Cr and become the 2nd most expensive player in IPL 2023 Auction.

3. Ben Stokes Sold to Chennai Super Kings

England star All-rounder Ben Stokes became the 3rd most expensive & highest-paid player in Tata IPL 2023 Auction. Chennai Super Kings bought him for Rs. 16.25 Crores. He get sold 15+ crores for 3 times in IPL Auction. This shows the value of Ben Stokes he is not only a player he is a match winner. By his all-round performance he won his team many times. One of the best example is Final match of ICC World Cup 2019. In IPL 2023 he will played under the captaincy of MS Dhoni he would be very happy.

4. Nicholas Pooran Sold to Lucknow Super Giants

Windies Wicket-keeper batsman Nicholas Pooran sold to Lucknow Super Giants for Rs. 16 Crores. West Windies captain Pooran is a dangerous player but in this T20 world cup 2022 they eliminated from group stage. Indian opener Mayank Agarwal sold to Sunriser Hyderabad for Rs. 8.25 Crores. He is the most expensive Indian player of IPL 2023 Auction. He played for Punjab Kings in IPL 2022. After the bad performance for PBKS in IPL 2022. He has been released from PBKS. But people knows how is his potential thats why he sold at large amount of price. 31 yrs Mayank Agarwal has good records in domestic cricket as well as in IPL also. 7. Shivam Mavi Sold to Gujarat Titans

Uncapped Indian Fast bowler Shivam Mavi sold to Gujarat Titans for Rs. 6 Crores. He played for Kolkata Knight Riders in last IPL.
