The year 2022 was a dream year for Suryakumar Yadav. He scored more than 1000 runs with 185 strike rates and become the No.1 T20 Batsman surpassing Pakistani batsman Rizwan. He is also 3rd highest run-getter in the T20 World Cup 2022. Suryakumar Yadav again continued his form in the new year 2023.
On 7 January 2023, Suryakumar Yadav scored his 3rd T20I century against Srilanka in Rajkot, India. He played an unbeaten 112* runs off 51 balls which includes 9 Sixes and 7 fours. He completed his century off 45 balls with a whooping strike rate of 200. He became only the second Indian and the fifth international player in history to score three or more tons in men’s T20I cricket.

Virat Kohli the most famous Indian cricketer took no time to express his feeling for Suryakumar Yadav. He showed his gratitude towards the Centurian batsman by sharing his pic on his personal Instagram story. He uploaded a story with a couple of ‘fire’ and ‘clapping’ emojis.
After India won the match against Srilanka by 91 runs, Suryakumar Yadav comes to his dressing room and check his phone and found Virat Kohli has posted about his century. He immediately made remarks that “Maaza Agaya’ and “Bhauu, Bohot Sara Pyaar and see you Sooon”.
Indian Captain Hardik Pandya also appreciate the innings of Suryakumar Yadav after the match in the Post conference. Hardik Pandya Said in the press conference-“Today, it felt like Sri Lanka vs Surya (Suryakumar). That is why Suryakumar is such an important player for us in white-ball cricket.”
