5 players who might not play TATA IPL 2023 due to injury concerns

India is again ready for its biggest cricket tournament TATA IPL 2023. The countdown begins for the IPL. This year’s IPL will be much bigger than the previous year’s IPL. IPL will begin from the end of March to the end of May. All the franchise is ready with their player to play the IPL.

All the teams have made their changes in the IPL auction 2023. The player got a very big bid in this year’s auction. The price of the bid goes up to 2.1 Million USD. But some big players may not play IPL 2023 due to injury concerns:

Rishabh Pant

The skipper of the Delhi capitals Team, Rishabh Pant met a near-death accident on 30 December 2022. His injury brings lots of sadness to Indian cricket fans. Pant is currently hospitalized in Mumbai.

He was part of IPL since 2016. He has made 2838 runs in 98 matches at a strike rate of 147.97. In 2021 he got the job of leading Delhi Capitals. But he will miss this year’s IPL because his injury needs recovery of 4 to 5 months.

Mitchell Marsh

The best Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh 46 T20Is and scored 1086 runs at an average of 127.01. On the bowling side, he took 15 wickets with an average of 7.90. Delhi capitals bought Mitchell Marsh for INR 6.5 Cr. in IPL 2022. But he played only 8 matches and made 251 runs at a strike rate of 132.80. But a hip flexor injury restricted him to continue IPL 2022.

Marsh was again hit by the injury in the ICC T20 World cup 2022 which makes him unsure to play in TATA Ipl 2023.

Deepak Chahar

Deepak Chahar is the leading bowler of CSK in the team. He has played 24 T20Is and taken 29 wickets at an economy of 8.17 for India. In IPL his stats are stunning with 59 wickets in 63 games at an economy of 7.8.

Chennai Super Kings invested a whopping INR 14 cr. on Deepak Chahar in IPL 2022. But with his leg injury, he may miss the IPL 2023.

Cameron Green

The Aussie all-rounder is currently in great form and is the most valuable player in TATA IPl 2023. MI invested INR 16.5 Cr. on Cameron Green and with this price he become the 2nd most expensive player in TATA Ipl 2023. Playing for Australia he has scored 806 runs in 18 matches and took 23 wickets.

But during the boxing day test against South Africa, he suffered a broken index finger on his right hand. So it is unsure that Cameron Green is available for IPL 2023.

Phil Salt

Phil Sault is another best wicketkeeper batsman of England. He played 167 matches in the T20I format and made 3817 runs at a strike rate of 150.39. He met an injury in MCG in his two-ligament shoulder while diving to stop a David Warner boundary. Salt has been ruled out of the Big Bash League 2022-23 due to a shoulder injury. So it is unsure that Phil Salt will play in IPL 2023.
